Shadow Oak Arabians is honored to have you visit our website. Our journey started as city folks. Mark was in management in the computer industry and Betty Jo in the insurance claims industry. It took Mark 10 years to convince Betty Jo to move out to the county. We were looking for a different life style, which began in 2001. We bought our first horses in 2002 for joy riding. In 2003 a friend introduced us to the Arabian Horse. We were enamored with their beauty and personality. And we have been hooked ever since. We now have 18 Arabian horses, 35 goats (really cute weed eaters), chickens, a duck, guinea hens, 5 dogs, 3 cats and a partridge in a pear tree. No, really it is a Lovebird. And the occasional snake that Mark rescues, to the chagrin of Betty Jo and Nichole. We are now a small breeder whose mission is to breed for Beauty, Spirit, and Poetry of Motion. Our goal is to produce and market Arabian horses that are show quality for halter/in hand competition, as well as the performance under saddle. We believe every horse has a full life from in hand showing to the riding performance arena. We encourage our customers to purchase young horses, which provides a unique bond between owner and horse that will last a lifetime. The last 8 months have been a whirlwind for us...
